Software Engineer Job Description

As a Software Engineer at BrowserStack, you will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and supporting systems and applications used by a large community of developers. You will be an integral part of an agile engineering team, contributing to the planning and execution of technical projects that align with key business requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

BrowserStack is looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Software development or programming experience (internship of 6 months – 1 year preferred).
  • Strong understanding of at least one language: Ruby, Node.js, Python, Java, C/C++.
  • Solid knowledge of operating systems, databases, networking concepts, and deployment processes.
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes is a significant plus.
  • Ability to work on Windows and Linux platforms below the application layer, including file systems, kernels, custom installations, and scripting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve real-world issues effectively, including production-level problems.
