Job Description: Data Scientist Role at Swiggy
As a Data Scientist at Swiggy, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive business decisions and improve customer experience. You will be working on challenging and impactful projects within the logistics domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your ML/DL/Statistics expertise to develop innovative ML-based solutions, enhancing ad recommendation quality and campaign performance through optimization techniques.
- Extract valuable insights from Swiggy’s extensive historical data to identify and formulate solutions for business and customer experience challenges.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and analysts to define requirements, design technical solutions, and implement end-to-end inference solutions at Swiggy’s scale.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in ML research for Ads Bidding algorithms and Recommendation Systems, adapting them to Swiggy’s specific problem statements.
- Share your work through presentations in internal and external forums, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Integrate data-driven solutions into our systems by working with cross-functional teams, including software developers and product managers.
- Develop and deploy machine learning and deep learning models to production.
- Own projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality and impactful outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
Swiggy is looking for candidates with a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for data science. The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field with 0-3 years of relevant industry or research experience.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to deconstruct problems and develop solutions from first principles.
- Hands-on experience in applying ML/DL and statistical techniques to address business challenges.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and Tensorflow.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bonus Points:
- Experience working with large datasets (‘big data’) and deploying ML/DL models to production environments.
- Familiarity with e-commerce and logistics domains.
- Experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, and NLP.
- A proven track record of developing and shipping ML and DL data products.
