Job Description: Associate Engineer
Eaton Corporation’s Center for Intelligent Power is looking for a passionate Data Scientist. As a Data Science Engineer, you will be involved in designing and developing ML/AI algorithms to solve complex power management challenges.
Your responsibilities will extend to the successful integration of these algorithms into edge or cloud systems, utilizing CI/CD and established software release processes. This role offers a unique blend of algorithm development and practical implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering.
- 0-1+ years of hands-on data science experience, applying statistics, machine learning, and analytical approaches to solve critical business problems and identify new opportunities.
Skills:
Required Skills:
- Strong statistical background, including Bayesian networks and hypothesis testing.
- Hands-on experience with ML/DL models such as time series modeling, anomaly detection, root cause analysis, diagnostics, prognostics, pattern detection, and data mining.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques.
- Programming skills in Python, R, Matlab, C/C++, Java, PySpark, and SparkR.
- Experience with Azure ML Pipeline, Databricks, and MLFlow.
- Understanding of SW development life-cycle processes and tools.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Recommendation AI Systems.
- Familiarity with traditional and new data analysis methods for building statistical models and discovering patterns in data.
- Experience with open-source projects like OpenCV, Gstreamer, OpenVINO, ONNX, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Caffe.
- Proficiency in TensorFlow, Scikit, Keras, Spark ML, NumPy, and Pandas.
- Advanced degree and/or specialization in a related discipline (e.g., machine learning).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning models for predictive maintenance of power systems.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns related to equipment performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into product development.
- Contribute to the development of new algorithms and techniques for power management optimization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning.
- Document and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
