Responsibilities of an Associate SDET
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Java for web and API-based applications using Selenium and Rest Assured.
- Create and maintain well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Participate in the development and improvement of automation frameworks and CI/CD processes.
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs, collaborating with developers for timely resolution.
- Analyze test results, debug issues, and provide actionable feedback to product and development teams.
- Stay updated with the latest test automation tools and industry’s best practices.
What Informatica is Looking For
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS or similar).
- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
Essential Skills and Experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in test automation, SDET, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of core Java fundamentals and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Rest Assured.
- Understanding of software development life cycles and QA methodologies.
- Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools like Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- BA/BS or equivalent educational background; an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum 0+ years of relevant professional experience.
