Job Description
As an Associate QA Engineer, you will be a crucial part of Numerator’s Engineering team. You will be responsible for developing, documenting, and executing test cases and automation scripts for our products. This role requires adaptability, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and the capability to multitask effectively. You will collaborate with stakeholders from QA, Product, and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on existing and new initiatives within the QA team.
- Participate in agile methodologies, including Scrum, Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD).
- Design and execute test scenarios and test cases manually.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts.
- Troubleshoot issues, debug test cases, and fix errors.
- Execute tests, analyze results, and generate test reports.
- Report and track defects using a defect management tool.
- Communicate effectively (written & verbal).
- Work collaboratively as a team player and independently as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of Core Java or Python.
- Understanding of SDLC and Software testing concepts.
- Basic RDBMS concepts and data querying skills (added advantage).
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in test automation.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Knowledge of Agile methodology, GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and exposure to Jenkins or CircleCI.
- Experience with Selenium, BDD, Security testing, or Performance testing with JMeter.
