Job Description
As an Associate Software Engineer at ADP, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing the next generation of technologies. ADP’s mission is to create powerful, efficient, intuitive, beautiful, and responsive solutions. You will work in a SCRUM/Agile software development environment where all team members share responsibility for the design, development, test planning, test execution, and documentation of the product.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, certify, and deploy applications/modules based on functional and system requirements.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, the Architecture team, and other stakeholders to understand functional and system requirements, architectural integrity, and product quality.
- Maintain consistent documentation throughout the development process.
- Escalate any issues to the Lead Application Developer that may affect project delivery.
- Contribute to ongoing team processes, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Associate Software Engineer role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelorβs degree (or pursuing final year with no outstanding arrears) preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Experience:
- Basic programming skills (Any programming language).
- Strong core knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent logical reasoning skills and the ability to solve complex problems using algorithms, flow charts, or programs.
- A clear understanding of databases, preferably RDBMS.
- Active contribution to the final year project with a clear understanding of the overall project.
- Participation in hackathons, coding competitions, debugging events, or other similar activities.
- Participation in college team events.
