Key Responsibilities
As a Data Center Operation Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the data center’s infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Server rack installation and hardware maintenance.
- Troubleshooting hardware and network issues.
- Responding to operational emergencies.
- Serving as a primary contact for internal and external partners.
- Working with SLAs to resolve trouble tickets.
- Participating in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance.
- Contributing to metric analysis and process improvement.
- Maintaining documentation on technical issues and root cause analysis.
- Assisting in training less experienced team members.

Basic Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech graduates with a specialization in IT/IS/ECE and Electronics & Telecommunications.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix Administration.
- Server Hardware Troubleshooting experience.
- Server Booting: POST, BIOS, PXE, Kickstart, GRUB/LILO, RAID.
- Some Experience with Network Protocols: TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3 technologies.
- Network Hardware: Copper and Optical Fiber Cabling, Switches, Routers.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Passionate about IT infrastructure and hardware!
Preferred Qualifications
- Remote Access: Console routers, IPMI, BMC.
- Network Equipment Installation and Configuration.
- Cisco IOS, NX-OS, JunOS.
- Redundancy: Power feeds, ATS, Server Hardware, RAID, Network Connectivity.
- Data Center Operations: Inventory Management, Hot/Cold Aisles, Security.
- Participated in Project Management.
- Experience or Knowledge of AWS products: EC2, EBS, S3 etc.
- Scripting: Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby (or programming languages).
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 18kg.
- Willingness to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
- Adherence to health & safety guidelines.
- Flexibility to work 24×7 shift rotations.
