Responsibilities and Duties

As an Engineer I in Quality & Testing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Cencora’s software products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in requirement reviews and sprint planning sessions to understand project expectations.
  • Assisting in translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and scripts.
  • Evaluating the testability of requirements based on various documentation, including business/functional requirement documents, use cases, user stories, and solution design documents.
  • Contributing to the setup and maintenance of test environments for both manual and automated testing.
  • Executing test charters according to established protocols and methods and analyzing the results.
  • Utilizing automated testing suites to explore edge cases and drive quality improvements in collaboration with development teams.
  • Gathering test result data, assigning appropriate severity levels to identified issues, and documenting accurate system responses.
  • Performing initial defect analysis, conducting root cause analysis, and escalating issues according to established protocols.
  • Gathering and maintaining accurate data obtained from investigation and product analysis.
  • Generating monthly and quarterly metric reports for regional leadership review.
  • Establishing processes and toolsets to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports for efficient bug tracking and rapid reporting.
  • Conducting a wide range of tests and analyses to ensure hardware and/or software meets or exceeds standards and end-user requirements.
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing changes to enhance the effectiveness of Engineering, Implementation, and Service strategies.
  • Monitoring and analyzing internal testing process metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Partnering with quality engineers to simplify and modernize testing tools and techniques to ensure maximum coverage and constantly improve testing procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)
  • Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
  • Certified Test Engineer (CTE)

Work Experience

  • 0-2 years of directly related or relevant experience in system/software quality and testing.
