Job Description
As a Trainee Engineer at GE HealthCare, you will design, develop, and test embedded software and firmware for X-ray generators. Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and testing embedded software and firmware for X-ray generators.
- Developing software tools for engineers in the Imaging Sub Systems group.
- Working with teams to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Participating in software development activities, including gathering requirements, designing, implementing, testing, and deploying.
- Helping to improve software development processes.
- Troubleshooting and fixing software defects. Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Proficiency in programming languages like C and C++.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with real-time operating systems, preferably VxWorks.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as ClearCase or Git.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Agile development methods.
- Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python and Java.
- Basic understanding of digital schematics, including MCU and DSP.
- Experience in developing drivers for ADC, RTC, and similar components.
- Hands-on experience in creating software and firmware for SoC devices, including Xilinx and Intel.
- Experience in software and firmware development in the power or control domain.
