Detailed Role Description
Monotype is seeking a highly motivated Information Security Trainee to join their team. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing security investigations, coordinating breach response activities, and maintaining the security monitoring infrastructure. While prior experience is not mandatory, candidates with relevant experience will be given due consideration. This role involves collaboration with internal Information Technology, Product Assurance, Engineering teams, and external Tech Stack Vendors.
As an Information Security Analyst Trainee, you will:
- Analyze threat intelligence from various sources across the Intelligence Community.
- Synthesize intelligence information, providing context and identifying potential implications.
- Analyze collected data to identify vulnerabilities and potential exploitation opportunities.
- Identify and assess the capabilities of cyber criminals and foreign intelligence entities, producing findings to support law enforcement and counterintelligence efforts.
- Respond to crisis situations to mitigate immediate and potential threats.
- Implement mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery strategies to ensure the preservation of life, property, and information security.
- Investigate and analyze all relevant response activities.
- Assist IT in malware remediation efforts.
- Assist IT in conducting configuration audits of network and operating systems.
