Web Developer Job Description
As a Web Developer I at Mouser Electronics, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining various web and back-office applications on .NET platforms. You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from analysis and design to coding, debugging, and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate software program requests and create technical specifications with estimated completion times.
- Develop, test, and implement applications using C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, .Net Framework, Web Forms, SQL Server, Visual Studio, TFS, CSS, JQuery, Bootstrap, JSON, and AJAX.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) and Web Content Management Systems (WCMS), particularly within the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
- Design databases and write SQL, T-SQL scripts, and stored procedures in SQL Server.
- Develop applications for a multiplatform environment supporting a global customer base.
- Apply Agile software development methodologies.
- Adhere to software development best practices, including writing clean, testable, and maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and creating documentation.
- Ensure optimal application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Conduct unit and integration tests and address any issues.
- Collaborate with technical and business users during validation testing.
- Support QA analysis and feature/integration testing.
- Handle production environment issues and perform root cause analysis using support tools.
- Work closely with business analysts, designers, architects, other developers, and quality analysts.
