Responsibilities
As a Developer Support Engineer at Okta, you will be responsible for:
- Providing support and maintenance to customers using Okta’s Customer Identity SaaS solution.
- Resolving technical and non-technical customer issues promptly.
- Managing support tickets effectively.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Taking end-to-end ownership of customer issues, from initial troubleshooting to identifying the root cause and implementing solutions.
- Exceeding customer expectations in terms of response quality, timeliness, and overall experience.
- Serving as a point of contact for customer issues and ensuring their timely resolution.
- Collaborating with the support team to exceed customer expectations in a startup-like environment.
- Utilizing business and technical analysis skills to solve complex problems and promote best practices.
- Collaborating with other departments to achieve customer satisfaction.

Requirements
To be eligible for the Developer Support Engineer role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- 0-1 year of experience in development (preferably Java or JavaScript).
- A Bachelorβs degree in engineering (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with SaaS applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex concepts with minimal assistance.
- Ability to switch between multiple complex work streams efficiently.
- Ability to break down problems into basic components to identify the root cause.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language, ideally JavaScript.
