Role of an Associate Integration Engineer
The Software Integration Team at PayU plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless integration of various software systems, platforms, and applications within the organization. Their primary responsibility is to integrate diverse technologies and ensure smooth communication between systems to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Software Engineer – Merchant Integration, you will be responsible for providing support to PayU’s merchants. This includes:
- Isolating, diagnosing, reproducing, and fixing technical issues in a timely manner.
- Identifying and root causing product defects and offering quick resolutions in collaboration with developers.
- Working directly with developers, merchants, and internal teams on pre-integration/post-integration issues to provide technical support, consulting, and best practices.
- Addressing technical queries on payment APIs, plugins, and transactions.
- Communicating technical issues to merchants and internal departments.
- Providing timely resolution to merchants and assisting them with Level 1 support using product knowledge and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Enhancing the overall experience of merchants by providing support for technical issues.
- Analyzing logs to identify common trends and underlying problems and escalating them to the product team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Batch 2024/2025 Preferred (B.Tech/B.E – CS/IT)
- Ability to explain complex information in simple, clear terms to non-IT personnel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge.
- In-depth understanding of the product and process.
- Good interpersonal and customer care skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Knowledge of web development in one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C, C++, C#, VB.NET, PHP, or Python is an added advantage.
- Any Bachelor’s degree (Technical degree preferred).
