Job Summary: Shaping the Future of Data at Principal Global
As a Data Engineer Apprentice, you will be an integral part of a team responsible for designing and developing decision-making dashboards and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for Dassault Systems R&D. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of data-driven decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding R&D Processes: Gain a thorough understanding of the tools and processes used by the Research and Development teams.
- Holistic Data View: Leverage all available data sources to create a comprehensive view of the product lifecycle.
- Dashboard Development: Design and develop interactive Data Analytics Dashboards using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
- ETL Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines to collect, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize data processes, address performance bottlenecks, and refine data storage strategies. Implement monitoring and tuning techniques to enhance data processing efficiency and reduce latency.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from disparate systems and sources using API integrations, database connections, and data streaming technologies.
Responsibilities: Contributing to ETL and Business Analytics
You will be a vital member of the ETL & Business Analytics Development Team, actively contributing to the development of internal business applications. Your role will involve:
- Collaborating with data/business analysts across various departments to ensure data meets their reporting and analytical requirements.
- Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines, data pipelines, dashboards, analytics apps, and comprehensive data solutions.
- Providing regular status updates to leads and counterparts, adhering to effective communication practices.
- Leveraging your expertise in data integration, pipeline development, and data modeling to deliver impactful solutions.
Required Skills and Knowledge
To excel in this role, the following skills and knowledge are highly desirable:
- Strong programming skills in Python/Java for ETL development and proficiency in SQL.
