UKG is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Security Engineer to join its growing security team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional with foundational knowledge in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Active Directory, and ideally, Forgerock. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess strong communication skills, and have a customer-centric approach to problem-solving. You will play a supporting role in maintaining and enhancing UKG’s security posture, with a focus on user access and identity governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of IAM systems, with a particular focus on Forgerock and Directory Services.
- Support the administration and troubleshooting of Active Directory, including user and group management, and authentication issues.
- Participate in the implementation and configuration of IAM policies and procedures.
- Help manage and resolve security-related tickets from various stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Assist in conducting user access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Develop and deliver clear, concise presentations on security concepts or solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide support and guidance to end-users regarding security best practices and access-related issues, maintaining a helpful and professional demeanor.
- Contribute to the documentation of security processes, configurations, and incidents.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, particularly within the IAM and Active Directory space.
Essential Qualifications
- 0-6 months of professional experience in a security-related role, internship, or equivalent project work.
- Foundational understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles and concepts.
- Knowledge of Active Directory administration and architecture.
- Familiarity with Forgerock products (e.g., ForgeRock Access Management, ForgeRock Directory Services) is a significant advantage.
- Awareness of IT ticket management systems and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly.
- Proven ability to deliver clear and engaging presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on user handling and customer service.
