Role Description
The primary responsibility of a Software Tester at Wipro is to create test cases and rigorously test products, platforms, and solutions before deployment to clients. This ensures that all quality assurance parameters are met to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding test requirements and designing comprehensive test cases.
- Authoring detailed test plans based on business requirements and testable specifications.
- Implementing Wipro’s testing methodologies, including Model-Based Testing, to optimize test generation efficiency.
- Ensuring thorough peer reviews of test cases to minimize rework.
- Collaborating with the development team to identify and capture relevant test cases, ensuring version control.
- Defining test criteria, parameters, and scope, including involvement in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Automating the test lifecycle processes using tools like VB macros and GUI automation.
Automation Framework and Reporting
- Designing and executing automation frameworks for software validation.
- Setting up test environments and developing test plans, test cases, scenarios, and usage cases.
- Ensuring that all detected defects are documented clearly with detailed descriptions and replication patterns, adhering to project/program/account norms.
- Preparing comprehensive defect reports and tracking test progress.
- Maintaining high standards to avoid rejection or slippage of delivered work items, ensuring compliance with Wipro/Customer SLAs and norms.
- Designing and delivering timely test status dashboards at the end of each test execution cycle to relevant stakeholders.
- Providing valuable feedback on usability and serviceability, tracing results to quality risks, and reporting to concerned stakeholders.
